The New Nintendo Legend
by Ashton Boyle

Nintendos newest product, the Nintendo Wii, will be released in just a few months. Despite it being a new gaming console, the Nintendo Wii might just blow every present gaming system out of the water. With a number of new features and revolutionary design, this new gaming system will rightfully earn its title as a Nintendo product.

After the Nintendo Gamecube, the predecessor of the Nintendo Wii, was released, little has developed in the Nintendo series. Recently, most Nintendo products have been small. However, the Nintendo Wii will be released to match, and even pass, the performance of the new Xbox 360, which also has a number of new features.

The Nintendo Wiis new controller is the most remarkable feature of the system. The Wii remote, which is also known as the Wiimote, allows the gamer to experience a new level of interactive play. The Wii remote is wireless and one-handed, and it communicates with the console using new Bluetooth technology. A sensor bar is placed on the console, allowing the Nintendo Wii to accurately pinpoint the location of the Wii remote on the screen. The Wii remote Many new features can be added on the Wii remote, including a Nunchuk controller and a Zapper Style shell. With these new devices, gamers can play a new line of Nintendo games that require both precision and consistency.

The Nintendo Wii also comes with many internet features. The newest online addition to gaming consoles is WiiConnect24. WiiConnect24 allows gamers to be online even in standby mode. The Nintendo Wii also features a Virtual Console. Gamers can use the online system to download Nintendo games, including games from such Nintendo systems as the Nintendo 64, SNES, and even the NES. A web browser will also be included for the Nintendo Wii.

In addition to the new online features and the advanced controller, the Nintendo Wii will also have some other important features. Like the Xbox 360, the Nintendo Wii will have reverse compatibility, meaning it will be able to play old Nintendo Games from previous systems. For Gamecube games, the Nintendo Wii includes four Gamecube controller ports and two memory drives. The Nintendo Wii has both a DVD drive and an 8cm Gamecube optical disc as well.

The Nintendo Wii has introduced many amazing new features that no gaming console has ever had before, persuading almost any avid gamer to purchase the new system. Many gamers are already expecting the Nintendo Wii to be the best gaming console yet to come, and talk has reached emails, articles, and Wii forums. Already of considerable popularity, in addition to it being a breakthrough in gaming technology, the new Nintendo Wii will definately pronounce the success and genius of Nintendo.
